Understanding Peels and Peeling Agents
Glycolic Peel
Chemical Peels, especially glycolic have become a safe and effective form of skin rejuvenation. Glycolic has the smallest molecule of all Alpha Hydroxy Acids so it offers better penetration into the epidermis.
AHA's are organic, or fruit acids and are derived from sugar cane, grapes, apples, citrus and milk.
Glycolic acid as a peeling agent is also manufactured synthetically and should be used in the appropriate percentage by knowledgeable and skilled Estheticians.
A series of treatments are the most beneficial in helping to banish uneven skin tones and fine lines. Gly peels stimulate collagen production and reduce the effects of solar damage.

Lactic Peel 25% with Green Tea
Lactic acid is also an Alpha Hydroxy Acid. This revitalizing and exfoliation procedure is perfect for sensitive or aging skin and hyperpigmentation. It's generally a milder peeling agent than glycolic and well loved for it's hydrating benefits. This product is an excellent anti-aging facial but also is most beneficial with a series of treatments plus proper home care follow up and use of a sunscreen.

Salicylic Acid Peels
Salicylic acid is a Beta Hydroxy Acid, is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory so as a result it works well for acne. Salicylic acid is oil soluable and penetrates pores to digest the debris that accumulates and causes pimples.
This is a fairly mild Beta Hydroxy Acid yet offers great results for acne grades 1 and 2.

Enzyme Peels
Highly active, refining and collagen boosting these synergistic blends of fruit and plant enzymes exfoliate skin without irritation. Vitamins and antioxidants, lightening agents plus amino acids all work as a blend to improve skin tone.

Jessner Rejuvenation Peel
The Jessner peel is an amazing century old treatment that's designed to improve the overall complexion and restore a youthful glow. Stronger than glycolic acid this peel gives a smoothing and retexturing not typically achieved with Alpha or Beta peels. The Jessner's is a combination of Salicylic acid, Lactic acid and Resorcinol in an Ethanol base.
This peel is not suited for all skin types. An Esthetician must be certified to perform this peel, as well as knowledgeable regarding pre-treatment preparation for the skin to achieve optimal results.
Jessner's is a superficial peel, is considered non-toxic and is a safe peel. The Jessner's peel is a 7-day peel because from the day the solution is applied to the end of peeling is usually between 7-10 days.
